The Janus Gallery has been involved in the creation of cutting-edge digitization and archival technologies for over 10 years. Beginning with work in the MiT Media Lab over a decade ago, we have been working to perfect the art of digital archival.
From the world’s first 3D AR Gallery in 2017, to the advanced dodecahedron photography of today, the Janus Gallery is able to create state of the art archives and hi-tech immersive art experiences for your customers all over the world.
The Janus Gallery uses 12-point dodecahedron photography, which renders the artifact into a single 3-dimensional image. The images and all related information are stored in a database, ready for display with the click of a mouse. Your digital records are also optionally minted into NFTs which can be sold at your discretion.
3D Digitization is an improvement over 2D. With 2D archival we are able to see what an artifact looks like, but we have no sense of its true size or the breadth of its details.
With 3D Digitization we are able to record life-size, fully-detailed renderings of your collection. In a public archive, such as a museum archive, users from around the world are able to see and experience a digital artifact that looks real enough to touch.
And, with PORTL technology, you are able to display collections of life-sized artifacts in any location - even several locations at once.
The Janus Gallery works with the MiT Media Lab to develop new digitization techniques which preserve the texture and essence of physical artwork when digitized.
TedX and the Janus Gallery work with Janus Artist Nima Veiseh to record the first 3D-VR Ted Talk.

The Janus Gallery begins working with Museums to create digital archives of their collections, which include both Phygital and digital renderings of their works.
